Anyone who knows how to use stencil buffers can switch to melee this easy.
(I have bound weapon class 3(melee) to the F button and enabled quick switch, works like a charm)
Great video as well, though I disagree that medics are chanceless against a pyro. I backpedal and shoot syringes, 8 of 10 pyros dont switch to shotgun when I get out of range.

I would probably prefer to the play the game myself. 7 minutes of which order to kill people in isn't really exciting.

Syd Midnight - 2007-12-07 This tells how to play it. It's like a chess game, except the pieces move of their own volition and call each other fags.

It fails to mention that your flamethrower does more damage if you're backing away and your enemy's running into it. I've never lost a pyro duel since learning this.

I disagree with all these "attack, then run away" tactics. I like to see enemies reduced to cinders at my feet, and when you burn & run, not only does that get you killed, but it usually just causes the enemy team a brief period of rest while they heal themselves from your volley.
No, isolate and contain. And if you're alone, try to hog all the medipacks.

Can the medics still give people aids in this new version of TF? I always liked doing that.

Smellvin - 2007-12-07 Errm... I meant "AIDS."

Syd Midnight - 2007-12-07 No, but the classes are all well balanced

They probably could have just condensed this down to "remember to switch to the shotgun".

I've used a few of this guy's tricks for the Pyro in TF2, and now that gas-masked little arsonist is my favorite class.

Coming from a veteran pyro, here's the main tip:
W + Mouse 1
