When I was in Americorps our boss made us all watch The Secret at a meeting and then write a reflection on how we planned to use the ~techniques~ we'd learned in the future. She was pretty much exactly as you'd imagine somebody who buys The Secret: middle aged, orange-tanned Santa Barbara hippie. About half the room - primarily older women - were right up front by the crappy school district TV, nodding and murmuring along with the video; the rest of us were in the back intently visualizing a sudden power outage, or some decent catering for lunch.

For any who haven't seen it, the video is hilarious and used to be available for like five dollars on the website. It's probably more expensive now.
