You would not get away with this documentary in the US, I don't think.

I want a religion helmet.

I thought it was pretty interesting. There was definitely a shock angle to it, like the DUH DUH DUMMMM Book of Ezekiel zooms and stuff, and I didn't really buy the electromagnetic brain ghosts. I'm also wondering how they got that atheist who went to hell to stand in a church and look "intense."

Garbage. Starts off interesting, but ends up about as scientific and credible as your typical "maybe aliens ARE real!" show. Each segment intellectually slaps you in the face a little harder than the last.

+1 star for Richard Dawkins in a yellow football helmet.

Oh, I don't mean to imply that it talks down to people - I don't expect or want it to be full of jargon. What I mean by an intellectual slap in the face is how they grow increasingly biased towards the "scientists" and "researchers" and their painfully irrelevant "findings".

One of the first slaps comes when they bring on a specialist to offer a conflicting professional opinion, and then the narrator effectively says "but he's wrong" immediately afterwards.

The first guy in the magnetic helmet claimed he felt as though he was under surveillance. HE WAS under surveillance, for fuck's sake. And 80% of people undergoing the same test reporting that they "felt something" isn't exactly significant.

I think it was around the point where they called a fucking milk crate wrapped in copper wire "specially adapted measuring equipment" that I had to pause the clip and search under my desk for my teeth.

The show is about 1% actually interesting material and 99% spooky music and dramatic closeups.

you know, despite how interesting this video was, I can't help but dislike it - a lot. It was far too 'science-AWESOME!' in its approach to understanding the spiritual essence of man and madness; though the last few minutes did, at least, dampen the overall message
