Multi-part submissions were down when submitted.

Chet - 2007-12-08

What do you mean they were down?

Killer Joe - 2007-12-08

I tried putting the second part on a few times, and it gave me an error screen.

Syd Midnight - 2007-12-08

That happens to me too sometimes, I thought it was my fault. Next time I'll copy and paste the error message for you Chet.. it just gives an error when you try to submit a second URL

yeah, I experience the exact same problem from time to time, as well. It's pretty gay, but luckily doesn't happen all that much.

For those who may be wondering, anti-tank rifles were almost exactly as bad an idea as they sound.

Beautiful tread animation though.

glasseye - 2007-12-08

Well, they worked pretty well against early war light tanks and armoured cars. You could get decent penetration from ~100m away. They were particularly useful against Japanese light tanks through ought the war.

I'd rather use this than a PIAT against a light vehicle...

throughout even.

The SASR that I got to use in Iraq was kind of like this rifle, but it was purposed for disabling light vehicles from a fair distance away, not for tank killing. The .50 cal API that the SASR shoots can cut right through an engine block rather easily.

You were lucky to have those, Baron. The snipers I worked with (both scouts and grunts) had to make to with M1s. This was in Anbar in '05, no less.
I love all the "anti-materiel" rigmarole attached to the Barrett, when I've only ever heard of them being used to 'splode people.

theFlu - 2007-12-08

Every citizen of Canada is expected to know how to stop a tank - I had to study this video in grade 8

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2007-12-08

Thats is some gay propaganda wigth there.

Lovely bit of history. "The magazine is only to be cleaned after a gas attack". "Aim for rivets, seams, and vertical armor plate". We were not quite prepared for German armor.
