I am so happy right now

Cheese - 2007-12-20

I hope they make Hellboy movies until Jesus returns.

Jeff Fries - 2007-12-22

Yes, keep the waters nice and lukewarm for the savior

Millard - 2007-12-20

Eh. Could've used a good tagline.

mouser - 2007-12-20

Could have used a good plot. The preview alone used up all the cliches known to moviekind.

a flaming monkey - 2007-12-20

I'm sure the movie will be good but that trailer kind of sucked. I didn't get a proper sense of storyline, it was just things... happening.

Random_Hajile - 2007-12-20

There's a bad guy. Hellboy tries to stop him. In the meantime, stuff happens.

Merzbau - 2007-12-20

Hellboy PUNCHES FAIRIES. That is all you need to know.

StanleyPain - 2007-12-20

Yeah, the trailer isn't very good...it's far too "IN A WORLD..." for the Hellboy franchise...but, it's a first look at the film, so I'm happy.

theFlu - 2007-12-20

I don't see what's so great about Hellboy - he's just a watered down Wolverine with a Constantine-ish plot

kingarthur - 2007-12-20

You swallow that back into your mouth. You swallow it and then plop it back out in the toilet where it belongs.

Jefka - 2007-12-20

Whatever you need to say to justify giving 2 stars to another video.

theFlu - 2007-12-20

yes: I can justify my ratings.

Xenocide - 2007-12-20

Hellboy is a great character and concept, even if his movie trailers aren't.

voodoo_pork - 2007-12-21

Tongue ass and die, Philistine!

glenn - 2007-12-21

TheFlu is so fucking hard he even one-stars the videos he submits.

snothouse - 2007-12-20

That trailer was pretty by-the-numbers. It could've been for anything. But del Toro's a great director, I'm sure he'll improve on the first one.
But more to the point, Hellboy comics are great at least 50% based on the genius artwork. Why not invest in animated movies? (The Amazing Screw-On Head was pitch perfect.)

a flaming monkey - 2007-12-20

Have you not seen 'Blood and Iron' or 'Sword of Storms'? You can probably find them on Youtube. I liked them for capturing the spirit of the comics, but yeah, it would have been a hell of a lot better if they rendered it in Mignola's style. Still, definitely worth viewing.
The Amazing Screw-on Head was awesome!!!

revdrew - 2007-12-20

Hellboy deserves a better trailer. The awesome still manages to shine through, though.

Chalkdust - 2007-12-20

yay

Thundercougarfalconbird - 2007-12-20

Ron Perlman = 5 stars

Xenocide - 2007-12-20

Who can stop Albino Legolas' evil plans?

I found the first movie strangely underwhelming, actually. Maybe it was the weak climax or the tacked-on romance. But Del Toro is a hell of a director and I'm betting he'll make up for it with this one.

theFlu - 2007-12-21

SPIDERMAN IS A BETTER HERO BECAUSE HE'S FUNNIER AND SLINGS WEB

TeflonDoc - 2007-12-21

Is that Johann at about 1:52?

minimalist - 2007-12-21

Yes. He's listed in the IMDB credits. No Kate Corrigan, though, sadly.

Five stars for Hellboy + Del Toro, -2 for being such a lousy trailer.

IrishWhiskey - 2007-12-21

Look, I can see why people want to five star this just based on love of Hellboy and the last movie...

...but that really wasn't an impressive trailer. Had it not been for the main character, this would be roundly laughed at for its cliches and wussy albino villains.

CornOnTheCabre - 2007-12-21

holy crap, they lifted a .wav straight from the Imps in Doom for the creature at 1:40

balls of steel

yoyo1 - 2007-12-21

One one hand I hate these shitty movies made for the lowest common denominator in the audience.
On the other hand, I noticed they get notably more bearable after a few years, on TV, when the hype has cooled off.

kingarthur - 2007-12-22

How does Hellboy qualify as being made for the LCD? No, seriously, I'll wait.

Sudan no1 - 2007-12-21

another hellboy nerd reporting in

Pillager - 2007-12-22

I'm just happy to see Lovecraftian overtones brought to the silver screen.
