I like Cat Power, and this song, but every time I listen to her I can't help but remember hearing that she is absolutely crazy and has emotional breakdowns in the middle of shows where she runs off stage and refuses to come back out.

Not sure what that has to do with anything.

I hear she had a long, depressing struggle with alcoholism. As for the crazy, maybe this was an indication she was self-medicating. Apparently, she moved to Memphis to sober up. Memphis being one of the worst towns in the world for sober people.
