Endangering the life of a child? He endangered her first! This is sickening on far too many levels. I love it.

kingarthur - 2008-02-07

I am so beyond glad that I don't work a job where I have to deal with this shit daily anymore. I'd rather be unemployed and penniless than dealing with that and getting chump change for it.

Smellvin - 2008-02-07

Sterilize the entire family and/or exterminate them. Problem solved.

kingarthur - 2008-02-07

They don't let you do that. And the evangelical nutballs that populate at least one half of all community mental health organizations actually look at you funny for suggesting it. And then they have the nerve to pay your an hour.

My neighbor beats his 9 year old daughter. We can hear them do it through the walls. We've called the cops many times (as has everyone who happens to share a wall with them), and Child Protective Services.

Nobody can do shit.

It sucks.

TeenerTot - 2008-02-07

I am curious how the kid was able to poison everyone for so long with noone noticing.
"That's odd...we go through 2 bottles of Bam a week. Those boys must really like cleaning the bathroom."

Ersatz - 2008-02-07

Maybe they could have stopped buying Bam?

grimetooth - 2008-02-07

Honestly, I would have punched that kid in the face too.

Aelric - 2008-02-07

any of the rest of you guys feeling homesick?

Roachbud - 2008-02-07

WTF are "terroristic threats?"

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2008-02-07

:(

Think about the environment that created this situation before you blame the kid.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-02-08

I have to go call my parents and thank them. Again.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-02-08

So does her face look like that because of the Bam or did it look like that before?

5 stars for threatening to bury their kid alive. What I want to know is if he'll be sent to a loony bin. Because hello, future serial killer vibe.

kingarthur - 2008-02-08

If he's put into a mental hospital at all, it'll likely only be a short term residential. at least at first. Depending upon how that goes, they may send him somewhere more long term. In all likelihood, however, if the kid doesn't have any other living responsible relatives (or relatives the state can simply pawn the kid off on, qualified or not) he'll end up in either a state run group home or a state-paid foster family.

kingarthur - 2008-02-08

And there's always the chance that if the current guardians complete parenting classes, etcetera etcetera, he may be sent back to live with them.
