I have a friend that was at this protest.

The "Stoopkid" is a scientology member that's videotaping the protesters, but apparently forgot to charge the camera's batteries, and is therefore tethered to a wall socket and therefore unable to get an closer than that. The Stoop Kid thing had to be explained to me, but is a character from an old Nicktoon called "Hey, Arnold!". The Kid was a bully toward any of the kids that approached his stoop, but it's found that he's terrified of leaving the stoop himself.

This guy apparently followed the protesters to a fast food joint, but a sentry would warn people whenever he'd try to start filming inside, so they'd all toss on their Guy Fawkes masks.

at least, Adramelech, they're getting out and attempting to do something they consider noble -- which is far greater a deed than most self-centred, apathetic neo-yuppies are willing to commit to.

Doug was the most dry, bland kids' show ever. Every week Doug is faced with some trouble, worries about it for 20 minutes, and then gets Deus Ex Mahina'd to safety ("Oh, it's a costume party? Now I don't have to worry about my acne!"). Hey Arnold had tons more personality and it didn't resort to making people funny colors or honking.
