This isn't LARPing, at least not anymore. This may have started as LARPing, but it eventually turned into these people letting their ancestors possess their bodies for a chance to relive their moments of glory.

Sounds about 100x cooler in a non-english language. You could almost believe it was a very low budget tv-show until the fighting starts.

Man, serious LARPing is like the worst kind of LARPing. If you're going to dress up in fantasy gear and pretend to fight with magic powers, at least have fun with it. This is like a reenactment of a war that never happened.

I liked us better when we had the cool stereotypes. Can we go back to the cool stereotypes, please? Maybe we can say this is extreme northern Italy and these people are all likely technically Germanic.

European Larpers do take their shit pretty seriously. There's videos floating around of the dutch and scandinavian Larpers that are pretty impressive.

This is the same culture that has entire legions of roman soldiers for reinactments of battles.

Also, I don't see any nerf darts being thrown around while some scrawny guy shouts "lightning bolt!" in a squeeky voice.

Face it, these guys make this look like an actual hobby. I would gladly join them, as long as i have some mask gear to wear that is.
