Wait, so people lose their insurance from hacking? Or if you hire Vern they go and hack your insurance record back to something positive? Could they not find a generic lobby to film this in?

As a resident of the Seattle area...this one confuses me. Since Seattle = Cyberpunk (Shadowrun for us uber-nerds) Are they going for a Max Headroom thing here?
