I like to imagine that ever since the birth of radio music broadcasts, and early music recording and playback devices, soldiers in every war have found some moment off the field of battle to play a bit of music, and maybe even dance a bit.
Somehow though, I don't think it's ever been this ridiculous. I have yet to see footage of G.I.s getting their funky groove on, or for that matter doing anything approaching empty-car surfing at the behest of crazy thumping lyrics. I'd like to see that footage, though.
