If it was a mistake, then it probably took them so long to correct it because they were laughing so hard.

Innocent? Please give me a scenario where this happens accidentally.

Noober - 2008-04-19

Maybe his name is Chad Molester

Sometimes when you work in broadcasting the power goes straight to your head.

Hooper_X - 2008-04-19

Having actually worked in news, I can safely say that the Chyron operators are not always the sharpest tools in the shed. I never had a mispunch THAT bad on my cast, but you can expect a screwup at least once every two weeks on any given show.

fermun - 2008-04-19

I subscribe to the Chad Molester theory.

anvill - 2008-04-19

Poor Chad. Wonder how many time's he's had to say, "Actually, it's MOLE-ster."

Camonk - 2008-04-19

He's got the put-upon sigh and eyeroll down pat, so you know he blames you for the mispronunciation. "Why should I change my name? There were Molesters way before there were molesters!"

ashtar. - 2008-04-24

Actually, this was legally required by sex offender notification laws.

YakooMarkTwo - 2008-04-19

Maybe it was a copy and paste error where "Child Molester" was saved on the clipboard from a past story. Though I admittedly don't know how these things actually work.

Still funny.

yourmother - 2008-04-19

I giggled.

DrDoalot - 2008-04-19

Maybe he is a child molester. Any of you think of that?
