Sometimes when you work in broadcasting the power goes straight to your head.

Having actually worked in news, I can safely say that the Chyron operators are not always the sharpest tools in the shed. I never had a mispunch THAT bad on my cast, but you can expect a screwup at least once every two weeks on any given show.

I subscribe to the Chad Molester theory.

Poor Chad. Wonder how many time's he's had to say, "Actually, it's MOLE-ster."

He's got the put-upon sigh and eyeroll down pat, so you know he blames you for the mispronunciation. "Why should I change my name? There were Molesters way before there were molesters!"

Actually, this was legally required by sex offender notification laws.
