Reznor begins Hurt. Audience member yells "Head like a hole!" Reznor kicks keyboard. Reznor and co. go into The Hand That Feeds.
Not altogether sure why this is here.
Musicians vs hecklers is entertainment. I've seen a few hand hecklers their asses (John Lydon, Les Claypool) but the ones who have little temper tantrums are usually the best.
You're not being very professional if you can't win a dispute with a drunken loudmouth when you have a stage, PA system, band, and 5000 fans on your side.
side note: he ALWAYS closes with head like a hole, there's no need to shout it.
also, some guy got set on fire at the electric factory in 05 for heckling nails.
Is Nine Inch Nails the worst band ever? No, but they are still very, very terrible. (Sarah McLachlan is the worst ever; science has shown it using computers and graphs.)
I saw NIN when they toured with Bauhaus. Nothing like that happened. But Peter Murphy kept glaring and giving Reznor dirty looks from the side of the stage. That was kinda funny.
I updated the dead link and I found three separate instances where he starts Hurt, someone heckles him, and he throws a tantrum; sometimes ending the show right there.
Over twenty years in the music business and still unable to deal with a heckler leads me to believe that he is aware that he's not that good.
