Babies Ate My Dingo - 2008-05-06
Creepy, adorable, and far too short a clip.
Baby cockatiels behave in a very similar manner while they're still all naked and nestbound, sounding like a hissing pit of snakes. They, too, manage to be cute somehow.

Imagine hearing this on a pitch black night, all alone. I'll admit, I'd shit myself.
Also: Needs 'what hell sounds like' tag.

Ah, barn owls.
The adults make even creepier noises, ranging from high-pitched shrieks that sound like children screaming, to sharp raspy clicks that sound like a witch cackling.
We used to live in a really rural area and those noises would come out of the woods at night.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-05-07
Imagine giant owls bigger than you doing this. At night. With nowhere to run.
