I love sugar gliders but I had no idea they made that insane mechanized laughing sound.

The unholy noise is called "crabbing." They stop doing that when they decide they like you. However, at that point, it's time to "mark" you as their buddy by pissing all over you. If you change your clothes or shower, you have to be pissed on again.

They're cute, but don't be tricked into getting them as pets unless you like piss!

That noise came out of nowhere. Imagine waking up to that noise and not knowing what it is.
