"The issues that Swamp Thing deals with are ones that are very rarely touched upon in other comics." What better panel to illustrate that.

Alan Moore's Swamp Thing comics..auto five. Though I have to fault him for one story during that run wherein it snows as far south as New Orleans and Houma. It only ever snowed in New Orleans, I think, once in the 80s.

Doctor Arcane - 2008-05-10

If Alan Moore says it snows in New Orleans, it snows in New Orleans damn it.

Arcane has escaped from Hell!

Also, the Moore on Moore debate is pretty fun.

I bet he has the weirdest sex life. Has anyone ever read Promethea?...I was very uncomfortable when the heroine and the old wizard guy screwed.

a flaming monkey - 2008-05-10

...and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen! Quartermain and Murray... Maybe he has a thing for naked old guys. Just a thought.

...and the whole swamp fruit sex thing. That was also peculiar.

He and his wife, Melinda Gebbie, recently published a literary "porn" comic called Lost Girls (in the last year and a half or so). He and his wife also have had an open sexual relationship, often drawing fire from both conservatives and the politically correct. They've both had the same girlfriend at the same time as well.

Chalkdust - 2008-05-10

He'd actually been working on 'Lost Girls' since 1991, which means it predates LXG. I've read it, it's very arty, and very porny, and some of it is pretty... kinda tug at your collar "yeesh" inducing. That being said, I do not regret having read it.

always an interesting fellow

meamlegion - 2008-05-10

Pure genius... shame his current writing is so sporadic.

FeeFiFoFoTheFifeFifeBrown - 2008-05-10

I kind of like the guy despite the fact that he looks like an archetypal polyamorous Internet druid. He seems like he'd be fun to hang out with.

hahaahah the start of the second one has the ducks song.

I like the way they used the 2000AD Credit Card at the end to thank the people who would poach all the UK talent and almost sink 2000AD for ever.
