What a great game. I know people always talk about TIE Fighter, but I'll give FS2 the edge.

Awesome game, pity it didn't sell very well.

i remember the good old days of taking out capital ships in my one man fighter. damn shame the space flight sim has all but disappeared after freelancer.

This is the game neo-cons force their kids to play instead of doing their history homework.

I'm not impressed. Give me one Vic Viper, and I could take out three of those things without breaking a sweat.

This and TIE Fighter. Thank god for the Freespace OpenSource Project.

The ship is cool, but I think the most kickass was the Lucifer from Freespace 1.

I was a Homeworld man myself. One of the best game soundtracks too.

I tried to play the FS2 demo back in the day, but I had a substandard rig and it crashed constantly. I would have bought the game otherwise.

THey need to get FS2 on Steam, post-haste. I would pay .99 for it in a heartbeat. You listening Chet? Pass it on.

I remember actually being disappointed when Descent: Freespace came out and it wasn't a proper "Descent" game like Descent I or II. Oh how naive I was, luckily Descent III came along a year later to teach me a lesson.
