Murdoch only cares about one thing, and that's money and the maintenance of his empire. He is a modern Hearst in the sense that he markets political conflict. Murdoch's New York Post, a Rush Limbaugh rag if ever there was one, endorsed Obama several months ago. He is endorsing the saleability of the story, not the candidate. What he sees is the ability to market the story across both his liberal leaning and rightwing news sources. Clinton vs McCain isn't going to sell as many papers, pretty much.
