2 of these sweethearts would go on to join their mate Lemmy in forming a band called "Motörhead", but quit after the record label refused to release their debut album. So they re-joined the Fairies, and Lemmy got 2 other mates to re-record that album, and the rest is history.
Some good and heavy glam rock.

Well, I'm not the biggest fan of Glam Rock, but the story bumps it a star I guess. I just wish some of these songs had a bass line, which takes it back down a star.
Also, I was unaware there was an umlout in Motörhead. The More You Know...™

Syd Midnight - 2008-05-31 Eh.. the Motörhead version (ascii code 148 for it) would hardly please you more, since Lemmy's bass sounds like rhythm guitar.
Is that a complaint about this song or glam rock in general? Because glam rock is not lacking killer bass.. maybe the problem is that it was generally the early 70s, so shitty sound quality hurts your "solid spectrum" enjoyment. You gotta fuck with the EQ on old songs.
Listen to Lou Reed's "Rock'n'Roll Animal".. that is some of the most awesome wild anus-clenching bass performance ever. 1970s production values, but holy everloving christ could Prakash John pluck the 4 strings. Your asshole will tighten up like an anchor knot, he plays'em faster than you can think'em.
