This is from the National Conference For Media Reform yesterday or the day before, a conference you will barely hear Porter at one point refer to as a "partisan" organization. Moyers handles himself well and the reporters get some choice footage.

Keith Olbermann was the one who humorously suggested that the fastest way for any journalist to get Porter off your back was to mention O'Reilly's sexual harassment lawsuit and talk about nothing else. Funny thing is, it would probably work really well.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2008-06-08

Arrrg beaten to the punch.

It's nice to see this smug, pudgy, balding, asshole get a taste of his own medicine. Love the look on his face when Moyers turns to leave.

theSnake - 2008-06-08

Oh shit son. I didn't know whether to feel uncomfortable or cheer, and that is the sign of 5 star quality.

nubilus - 2008-06-08

i love this. porter seems to typify the majority of republicans i've encountered... inadequacy complexes with george costanza physiques.

+1 for moyers repeatedly putting his palm on his shoulder....completely made him his bitch :D

glasseye - 2008-06-08

Gotta love it when idiots from FOX get owned.

kingarthur - 2008-06-08

Nice. Here's hoping there's an ambush crew waiting for every pundit and producer like Porter for a while. Also, does Moyers call Porter "sweetie" sometime after the 3:00 mark?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-06-08

"You like to beat up producers, Mr. Moyer, and I'm just a poor sissy producer with no real power...how dare you do your job and pick on me, and by pick on me I mean while telling the truth!"

The last part of this...oooh, so delicious! I hope this is shown in journalism classes.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-06-08

Also, out of all the obvious fallacies coming out of Porter's mouth, I love how he tries to convince people Moyers actually SAID that he didn't have the "courage" to come on O'Reilly's show.

Fox News: Real quotes from real journalists! Really!

Maggot Brain - 2008-06-08

Bill Moyers keeps it real.

Desidiosus - 2008-06-08

I swear his forehead got bigger and bigger as this went on.

Sean Robinson - 2008-06-08

Dude brought a knife to a gun fight, intellectually speaking.

Desidiosus - 2008-06-08

A butter knife.

glasseye - 2008-06-08

Without a handle.

minimalist - 2008-06-09

Pointed the wrong way.

zatojones - 2008-06-09

made of Play-doh

Camonk - 2008-06-08

When Bill strides off, amongst the cheers of his colleagues, Porter looks so rumpled and defeated. He looks like his dad just gave him the first, "I'm not angry; I'm disappointed" speech he ever got.

Keefu - 2008-06-08

Beautifully handled. It felt like such a triumph when Moyers walked off and Porter had to trudge away, defeated.

sosage - 2008-06-09

The entire thing was sweet...but my favorite part was, "So. Do you consider what you just did journalism?"

Porter being at a loss to give an answer was pathetic, yet delicious.

glendower - 2008-06-09

I gained a newfound respect for Bill Moyers after learning the guy grew up in poor family. It seems that most of the country's top news anchors were born inside the beltway, confirming the whole media elite thing.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-06-10

Hell, this gives me a new respect for journalists again. Sick em', guys.

Aubrey McFate - 2008-06-09

Moyers is my hero. I'm not exaggerating, I hope I'm just like the guy at his age, job and all.

Unsung - 2008-06-10

"I`m not a classy guy, I`m a reporter!"

Classy.

Xenocide - 2008-06-10

Beautiful. So many would have lost their cool or simply said "fuck off" to Porter, but instead Moyers uses sincere, calm discourse to shatter the little toadie into a million pieces. Moyers is a journalistic titan.

ihounokyaku - 2008-06-11

I think I just had a Moyrgasm.

bacon-swiss - 2008-06-14

Dear Journalism/Truth,

Get well soon!
Youtube seems to be helping.

Sincerely,
One dude in America.

buttnutt - 2008-06-25

bill o reilly's not a journalist he's a pugilist

moyers shames that fuck

the interview at the end is spectacular as well

Cleaner82 - 2008-07-17

DIE LACKEY DIE!!! Hahaha.

Killer Joe - 2008-11-16

Neat

IrishWhiskey - 2008-12-08

"Look Mr. Moyers, the works way better if I just shout libelous statements and questions at you, as you walk away trying to ignore me. So could we please try that again?"

pastorofmuppets - 2009-02-12

Shame it wasn't Bill.

phalsebob - 2009-06-16

"You're playing games with O'Reilly."
"What games?"
"I don't want to get into that."

"I have a terribly small penis."
"How small?"
"I don't want to get into that."

"I bring things up that I can't back up."
"What things?"
"I don't want to get into that."

Squeamish - 2009-12-03

It's like watching a western showdown between the old, wise sheriff and the young punk who wants to make a name for himself.

And we all know how those movies end.

bac - 2010-03-07

That was amazing in more ways then I can count. Mainly Moyers professionalism of handling the situation and fox news as the joke it is.
