zatojones - 2008-06-12

I'm guessing that Daniel was the kicker and not the kickee

CTHlu_teddybear - 2008-06-12

Another Taekwando tornado kick floors an unsuspecting opponent: NEW ANGLE ON THE ACTION! Go Hwaorang, kick the shit out of Jin Kazama!

Also: "That was goo-d."

charmlessman - 2008-06-12

Daniel just killed a man
Put a foot against his head
Hit the mat and now he's dead

Someone with actual fighting experience clue me in:

I've never understood how any spin move could connect like that (the guy didn't even react) when it telegraphs itself so far in advance. Unless one opponent was so beat up he couldn't react in time, which isn't the case here.

remag2117 - 2008-06-12

From what I've seen of real fights, spin moves like that don't typically work like they do in this tournament. As you pointed out, they're telegraphed, leave the attacker temporarily blind, and are pretty inefficient all things considered (there are plenty of ways to generate power that don't involve turning your back to your opponent, or opponents).

Although they have been known to work in conjunction with a feint (although I still wouldn't bother with them personally).

takewithfood - 2008-06-12

I gather that that was more of a counter-attack than anything. If you watch closely, the guy in blue was the one who moved first; red reacted and obviously chose the right counter attack. Red looked more calm and composed to me, and kept edging off to the left to give himself enough room for the kick.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2008-07-31

Oh, Mr. Blue reacted; click pause-unpause and you can see when he instinctively raises his chin at the moment he sees the flash of Mr. Red's foot coming in at terminal velocity... lifts it right into the path of the oncoming limb. Being on one foot has got to suck for ducking and weaving.

No amount of foam is going to soften that one. It's a perfect counter attack, and while it must suck to be Mr. Blue, he has unequivocably set the new record for being an example of what NOT to do, and you always learn more from your mistakes, right?

This is what happens when you entrust your dome to a sport that doesn't allow strikes to the face and therefore doesn't teach you how to properly defend your head.

Camonk - 2008-06-12

Listen man I just like seeing dudes kicked in the head.

Billie_J_Buttfuck - 2008-06-12
