America's Funniest People is the retarded brother of America's Funniest Home Videos, and that's saying a lot.
|
Quad9Damage - 2008-06-29 "America's Funniest People" came on right after "America's Funniest Home Videos" and starred Dave Coulier, who was also on "Full House." The circle of evil was complete.
|
badideasinaction - 2008-06-29 I remember those two shows well. And as much as I would find people running into posts or being attacked by small dogs funny, I'd immeditately cringe and change the channel after an undeserving entry won the 10,000 prize and the horror of AFP came on.

On the bright side, vaguely fetishistic.

That was gross.

I like to imagine that the internet has allowed a diametrically-opposed concept of "This Video = Amusing" to arrise:
Grandpa making a goofy face with his bottom lip over his top lip.
VERSUS
A man has a seizure on the New Jersey Turnpike, his foot incedentally floors it to 75MPH, and his effectively driverless car rams a concrete tollbooth, instantly exploding into flames and fiery debris and smoke, and it was all captured on the CCTV camera, and someone in control of the videos decided to post it.
What generation gap? YOU TELL ME THAT ISN'T FUNNY!!

The worst videos on this show were always from the people who put a lot of effort into their entries.

Five for reminding me of a picture that also involves orange juice and a woman's ass.

You fools, this was real. I remember it. Impersonations that make the worst comedy club open-mic night performances look polished and professional and such.

vaguely fetishistic? the first thing I thought of was a plate job, minus the glass.
