Thatcher Pennywhistle - 2008-08-01 You should watch the whole movie. There are police whose only job is to monitor the bridge and 2 of these suicide cops speak to this guy before he jumps. I'm guessing that you can't just haul someone off because they look suspicious.

Ah jumping Jesus.
Anyway, my dad has this story about this guy who once jumped and survived. The guy was under a lot of stress. One day he burnt the toast, and for whatever reason, it set him off, so he drove out to the bridge, climbed over the rail and jumped. After he let go he realized it wasn't a good idea, but, as look would have it, he managed to survive.
