i've never heard of dangiaoh or wings of honneamise, any good?

Definatly 3 animes new to me that look worth getting

Wings of Honneamise is an amazing film that everyone should see. Right now. This trailer makes it look like a typical action flick, which it isn't at all.

I have no idea what Dangiaoh is even about, let alone if it's good.

I saw an episode of Dangaioh once. All I remember is the giant robot could shoot its forearms and strangle things by telepresence... And the fight song sounded like something from Goemon 64.

Seconding Honneamise, probably the best thing Gainax has ever done. Bandai did a beautiful job remastering it.

wings of honneamise is great but I think flcl is the best thing gainex ever did. (haven't seen that new show yet)

All the excuses I ever needed to watch anime were born some time around the early '00s, when it became so accessable, everyone could watch it.
