If it helps, start listening thinking "low note" and when you quickly replay it think "high note".

I think it's playing octaves, and if you follow the low note the first time your brain can be tricked into following the high note the 2nd time.. only for a few notes, but it's the Damndest Thing

this is one of my favorite illusions. Works better when its actually looping, or at least a longer clip.
