god damn you people this is going to be awesome

sheikurbouti - 2008-07-28

Having Oliver Stone biographize Bush would be like executing Bin Laden. While satisfying in the short term, it will only serve to make him a martyr.

Angel Carver - 2008-07-28

I'm with the Rabbit.

garcet71283 - 2008-07-28

The worst part about this is that in 20 years, people will be citing this as a historical documentary ala Platoon.

Then again, it could just go the route of Alexander...

Blaise - 2008-07-28

Bush should be so lucky if this film is the extent to which history judges him.

Truth is a third of his voters will consider this portrayal of him as a partying cowboy, complementary.

garcet71283 - 2008-07-28

Heh...Americans have about a 4 year memory...

Otherwise we would've been pointing fingers at every president before Bush that screwed up and put us in the place we are today.

Cleaner82 - 2008-07-29

I'd write a scathing letter to that bastard Polk but I don't think it'd do much good at this point.

It and Bush add up to 90 degrees?

StanleyPain - 2008-07-28

I don't get it. Is this a satire of Bush, even if gently? Or is it a serious biopic? Or what the fuck? Oliver Stone never loses the crazy.

Syd Midnight - 2008-07-29

Doesn't matter, the fact that it's a big budget Oliver Stone biopic will take away any sting it might have, and crowd out anything else for several years. Oh well, there will always be history.

This is gonna be so easily shrugged off. I mean, our generation sure looks up to "Nixon" and "JFK" for the real unflinching truth! Oh yeah, we ignore those flubs, and watch good documentaries instead.

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2008-07-29

Yes because the purpose of historical films is to stick completely to the honest truth. Never mind that fucking Lawrence of Arabia was 95 percent made up, of course.

Sputum - 2008-07-29

He's still in office... can you do that?
I don't know what to think.

meamlegion - 2008-07-29

Casting could be better. Ioan Gruenfeld(or however you spell it) as Blair? the Condi is too attractive. rumsfeld looks nothing like him aside from the squinting.

Alec baldwin would be a better choice, he does a good rumsfeld. also will ferrel as bush and john c reilly as jeb!!!1!1! omg!!!!!!!!

I'm a horrible person...

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-07-29

Hopefully the ending will have to be changed so he dies at the end.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-07-29

By that I of course am not inferring that anyone does violence to our beloved leader, but that he unwittingly eats a tainted burrito and the bacteria unleashes a previously unknown strength and he dies of intense hemorraging from the massive diarrhea surge.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-07-29

And then if this happened I would totally pay money to see this movie.

Keefu - 2009-09-26

shut up

zatojones - 2008-07-29

oliver stone movie

PegLegPete - 2008-07-29

This must be a joke or something and it's going to be really good or really bad. Surely it will be full of bullshit however.

erratic - 2008-07-29

too soon

robotkarateman - 2008-09-12

Isn't Comedy Central taking the joke a bit far this time?

fractured - 2008-09-24

Oliver Stone. Not a fan...

+5 for the surreality of the trailer.
