he has a funny voice

He sounds like Bobby Hill's friend with the blond ponytail and the mucusy voice. "Hhhhcccccccchhhey, Bobby"

Merkwuerdigeliebe - 2008-08-20

What happened to the E Nomine overture, Buffy posters, and Necronomicon quotes from his "I am a Satanist" videos?

eatenmyeyes - 2008-08-20

He has a hearing aid.

Ayn Rand: there used to be a wikipedia article that was a list of philosophers divided up into different sections. One section was called questionable philosophers and the only person in it was her.

I hope he summons enough of the creative force of his free individualism to get his rent paid.

simon666 - 2008-08-20

"where shall I sit... by my desk in front of my bed which is covered in filthy laundry and vegetable oil? my window which conveys the gritty realism of my living conditions? my bathroom for a sense of self-parodying irony? no sirs, I shall sit in front of my book collection whilst wearing a blazer."

I watched another one of his videos where he addresses "his fans" and how they look at him as some sort of sage. I love this guy so much.

"In front of my camera, where I might feel that my ego is fed."

And that bookshelf is a closet, the folded door is on the right.

Objectivism, from my layman's view, seems to completely ignore biological imperatives. For example: One kills another because one has been threatened. Rational self interest? If thought about, however it seems to ignore the 'thought' to kill was a manifestation of the unconscious, or never conscious, biological mechanics of our organism. Hopefully that is enough of an explanation.

Merkwuerdigeliebe - 2008-08-20

ATTENTION ALL OBJECTIVIST FANS ON THE INTERNET WHO DO NOT HATE ME

StanleyPain - 2008-08-20

Wait, wait..I thought he was Satanist. So, does this mean it's a philosophically easy leap from Satanism to Objectivism?

IrishWhiskey - 2008-08-20

Well, both seem attractive to people who want to justify their loneliness as a form of strength, scorn others who have genuine social connections, feel a false sense of superiority and intelligence, and escape from their mundane lives by becoming a "superman" (see also: misunderstanding Nietzsche).

Merkwuerdigeliebe - 2008-08-21

What's wrong with that?

nubilus - 2008-08-20

standing in front of books, wearing glasses and a cheap blazer automatically makes him smarter than me

nubilus - 2008-08-20

FROM HIS MYSPACE:

Everyone can become a Christ. "Christ" is a title meaning "annointed one". I still have much wok to do, preparing the temple (body) for the energy of christ. No I'm not delusional, I am thinking more clearly with each passing day.

lolwut

Merkwuerdigeliebe - 2008-08-20

Actually this is one of the most intelligent things I've heard him say. I just know that taken in context it must mean something less-than-metaphysical, though.
