Quality oozing from every pore of this, and they couldn't throw in for decent outfits?!

Also, eckscape? Really?

theSnake - 2008-08-24

-1 star for each pair of sunglasses.

robotkarateman - 2008-08-24

-1 star for the sappy PBS "Civil War" opening
-1 star for the sappy ending foreshadowed by the sappy opening
-1 star for "our parents' undying love and support while we made a silly fan film"
and -1 star for the horrible music

But otherwise, 5 stars! Nice job!

Most pathetic Balin-Balan remake ever.

yourmother - 2008-08-24

Saying that you're taking points off because it's bad is missing the point. They're two dorks in sweatpants and sunglasses who are making a star-wars fan movie, this isn't on here because it's good.

yourmother - 2008-08-24

i don't know why i hyphenated star wars...

Cleaner82 - 2008-08-24

To me it is the strange blend of a quality fight and utter ineptitude.

robotkarateman - 2008-08-24

One could argue that this film is too competent for poe.

ProfessorChaos - 2008-08-24

I'm not a martial artist, or anything, But i'm fairly certain any actual sword style would kick the hell out of all the twirly crap that star wars nerds seem to favor.

Cleaner82 - 2008-08-24

You think Star Wars coined the concept of theatrical fighting...?

Shion - 2008-08-24

One or the other turned his back completely to his opponent 34 times.

I counted.

I actually do some sword-based martial arts. I turn my back, I get a bokken upside the head.

Cleaner82 - 2008-08-25

Theatrical! Like a MOVIE! TH-- oh forget it.

RomancingTrain - 2008-08-25

there are Star Wars fans that think that lightsaber combat is a viable martial art. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Lightsaber_combat

Cleaner82 - 2008-08-25

Well... I wouldn't know anything about that...

... I would posit that there would have to BE lightsabers first. But what the hell do I know.

Camonk - 2008-08-25

Man what is your PROBLEM, Cleaner? If this guy took a lightsaber to Shion, that guy would have his shit utterly ruined!

Shit, Professor Chaos knows. Why don't you go back to the PLAYGROUND and talk to GIRLS ABOUT DOLLS since you refuse to discuss pretending to hit people with laserswords and katanas like a grownup.

Shion - 2008-08-27

Given that lightsabers don't exist, and wooden sticks do, I certainly have the theoretical upper hand.

And I have endured extensive training in not being embarrassed to bop someone with a wooden stick when they clearly deserve it.

Coming to a Virginia Tech near you!

Big Name Celebrity - 2008-08-25

it's good fight choreography from a wushu standpoint, but what Star Wars "fan" colors a Jedi's saber red? That's a Sith blade.

And of course it's just ocurred to me that the letter writer might have been meant to be the Sith all along, which is actually a nice touch....

RomancingTrain - 2008-08-25

I want a pink lightsaber too.

zatojones - 2008-08-25

god I hate modern movie "heavy" schmaltz

Stopheles - 2008-08-25

Am I the only person alive who prefers Darth Vader's "swing from the wrist, looking as if you're kicking ass effortlessly" style?

Big Name Celebrity - 2008-08-26

It just means you prefer Samurai movies to Kung-Fu movies. There are many like you.
