I really wanted that catalogue and had no idea why.

SpookyElectric - 2008-08-31

it's despicable to use a 900 pay number to order already outrageously-priced merchandise.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-08-31

I felt the same way.

Except when it came to video game hints.

DMKA - 2008-08-31

.50 per minute? What year is this from? That's pretty reasonable for a 900 number by today's standards.

dementomstie - 2008-09-14

According to the copyright date when the catalogue appears, it seems to be 1989.

I don't know what I was thinking, watching a movie without a ballcap on.

Five stars for completely, shamelessly whoring out the premise to Duck Amuck.

Five bonus stars for the fact that they charge money for you to give them money.

AWFUL. But I'm pretty sure that's Mel Blanc doing the voices, at least.

dementomstie - 2008-09-14

Yeah, that's definetly Mel. This was probably around the time of "Daffy Duck's Quackbusters" which would actually probably explain why they'd have spare Mel Blanc clips and spare "shilling out Bugs Bunny" animation cells lying about.

I didn't even have to watch the clip. I remember the event vividly, I recall being told ONCE about the rules of the 1-900 number. I never had to be told twice.
