Yes! This is like, my favorite MST3K episode because of how fucking hard I laughed at this part. I kept giggling about it for the rest of the movie, hoping something equally absurd would happen, but I guess they spent all their special effects budget on this scene.

StanleyPain - 2008-09-01 Girl in Gold Boots is one of the best ones, but it's hard to wrong with any Ted Mikels film. I had always hoped they'd get around to Astro Zombies, but alas it was not to be.

KnowFuture - 2008-09-08 I actually have Girl In Gold Boots on DVD as part of a mini-box set thing that also includes a German TV version of Hamlet, Space Mutiny and Overdrawn At The Memory Bank. All of them are awesome except for the really gloomy German TV version of Hamlet, which is pretty damn hard to make funny in the best of conditions.

StanleyPain - 2012-10-20 Interestingly, this is the only MST3k episode of the entire Sci-Fi run that isn't a sci-fi/horror/fantasy movie of some sort. Syfy apparently put the kibosh on them doing anything not in those genres after this one, which is really too bad as some of the best MSTs of all time are undoubtedly just crime films or weird thrillers.

Whoever was credited with continuity checking this movie never found work again.
