This entire series of events taking place in Minneapolis has upset me more than I can coherently describe.

I've been telling people to politely email as many news websites and organizations as possible and ask them to cover this story. The police can try to paint what they've been doing to protesters as preventing some sort of crime and doing the usual bullshit, but in this case, they can't dress it up. Goodman wasn't doing anything at all wrong and they man-handled her and threw her and her associates in jail for literally no provable reason. What's more disturbing is Goodman's claim that her press pass was taken from her by a member of possibly either the secret service or RNC security. So, she had no official press identity after this allowing whoever to claim she was up to something and not part of the press.

Needs a "stormtroopers" tag.

For fuck's sake, the fact that the cops have to put on full riot gear to deal with peaceful protesters...

She didn't even get cracked in the back of the head with a club. Minneapolis police are extraordinarily boring compared to Denver police.
