You're not that tough if you're fighting in an amateur rules match.

Also, a baseball tee and sweatpants? Really?

Dr Dim - 2008-09-17

Olympics?

Fighting MMA in boxing gloves, shoes and headgear is a little weird though. It might have been a really messy boxing match.

FangoftheCobras - 2008-09-17

I had a manager slam a customer down to the ground like that once for slapping him. "last mistake you'll ever make mother fucker!"

Then he held him to the ground pinning his 3 no longer rowdy or obnoxious friends to the wall.

I am a fan of this move.

waxeater - 2008-09-17

How does someone hold one guy on the ground and hold three other guys on a wall?

Was your manager Roachbud?

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2008-09-17

Seriously, that sounds like the kind of grappling you hear about in Dwarf Fortress.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2008-09-17

Um, that's very difficult. I'd say downright unlikely.

Where was the manager's back-up? Why was the manager putting his hands on anybody? And how was he expecting to get the guy out of the location after everything?

I'm sorry, this screams bullshit. Or out-and-out unprofessionalism.

fermun - 2008-09-17

His manager was Shiva, God of destruction.

karl hungus - 2008-09-17

quit trying to impress us with your lies, cracker.

FangoftheCobras - 2008-09-18

It was at a comedy club. The wife of the throat slam guy was making a huge scene after the show because one of our door guys asked to to not yell out during the act. She was going ballistic about how they shouldn't of been shushed and trying to walk out on of course a very heavy tab. As always happens in those situations the Girl who is totally unreasonable tries to get everyone to fight over her beef. The husband was belligerent as well, but most of door staff were centered on containing the woman as she stomped around trying to shove 300 pound men around. The Door guy who actually shushed is usually pulled out of the situation to try and calm things down. For what ever reason, this guy came out to see if he could help. It did not work and both of the angry customers flipped when they saw him. My manager, who was working on consoling the lady, turned to the offending door man and told him to get lost. The husband stepped around the doorman trying to talk with him and took a swing at the one that angered them. He avoided the hit but it nailed my manager in the jaw. Manager lost it, said those magic words and throat slammed the guy to the ground. The spot it happened was right near the back exit, which bottlenecks the room toward 2 doors. The friends at this time were cheering the others on, i assumed that they just wanted out on the tab. When he slammed the guy, the friends were all leaning next to the wall, with his body pressing against their legs. After this, the bartenders and kitchen staff came out as well and a small army of staff were there to help. I don't remember who paid for that party, but somebody did. No refunds for assholes who start a fight.

But believe what you want. I don't think my manager acted poorly in the situation, but I have seen a lot of drunk people making scenes before. Some people have legitimate beefs or are rational enough work with and solve a problem. Some people take a sloppy swing at a guy who shushed them and hit a big manager with a poetic tongue. Those people you deal with however you have to.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2008-09-18

Son, I know I can believe what I want. And let me tell you what I believe.

I believe you're full of shit. I believe you're 16 years old. I believe you've never been to a proper establishment - I believe you have no idea in regards to safe handling laws. I believe you have no idea how most people behave at clubs. I believe you're flat out lying. I could poke holes in your story left right and center.

Do you know why I believe that? It's certainly not inexperience. Why do you think I believe that?

FangoftheCobras - 2008-09-18

Gee, I guess you must be right. I guess every club runs like the one your experiences stem from. I must be 16, I must be trying to impress people on the internet.

Poke your holes, Buttfuck. Poke them holes. I think your trying to claim that your a bouncer somewhere. Good for you. I think its funny how so many on this site love to get all tough. Whatever, son. Get confrontational with text. Real tough.

You are right on one of your beliefs though. I don't know the rules for safely handling someone. I was never a door guy, just an observer that saw what I saw. Maybe every interaction at your establishment is always textbook, I saw a bitching neck slam that stopped all the commotion instantly. I can imagine that isn't the proper way to dispatch a violent customer, but its what happened that day. Go on thinking that your way is the only way, it doesn't matter much. I was just commenting I saw this move before and it was awesome.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2008-09-18

Blah blah blah.

Son, boy, buck-o, buttercup, you don't get to call me son. You're the only one talking tough here.

I had said either you were lying, or it was out and out unprofessionalism. My money is still on lying. Flat-out lying.

I'm not a former bouncer, boy. I'm the son of a manager of several establishments. And yeah, I'm saying that every measure of experience that provided me says you're lying.

So talk tough, son.

Sorry. 'FangOfTheCobras'

Roachbud.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2008-09-18

And what the hell. Let's finish it off with 'you get ignored now'.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2008-09-17

Beautiful execution. Also, what a total professional.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-17

Bonus points for keeping away the opportunistic other fighter.
He gets tough without forgetting his responsibilities.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2008-09-17

Yes This.

Cleaner82 - 2009-08-16

Oddly, in a video with a chokeslam that little, "No no no little fighter" finger-waggle was almost the most badass move.

Aoi - 2008-09-17

Five stars for showing us what a choke slam that doesn't involve the slam-ee jumping to help looks like.

HURF BLURF DUH - 2008-09-17

HOW CAN HE SLAM ME?!

Cleaner82 - 2008-09-17

"But how can he slam me sir?"

Frank Rizzo - 2008-09-17

WHY DONT YOU FUCK OFF THEN!!

chumbucket - 2008-09-17

thank you for that gentlemen

Desidiosus - 2008-09-17

I have yet to understand the typical response to having your ass handed to you: getting back up and asking to have it handed to you again and again.

remag2117 - 2008-09-17

He probably felt like he was caught off guard, and might have had a better shot if he were squared off with the ref.

I could see it. After all, these fighters seem pretty used to the ref shoving them around for official purposes. Might take them a little time in their boxing addled minds to process that the ref is not acting in his typical duties.

charmlessman - 2008-09-17

His corner just told him. "No no, you don't want that."

Godard's Drinking Problem - 2008-09-17

Rock and Roll! Guitars! Bain-no-bain-no-bowwwww-wo-bain-now-noowwwww!

Comeuppance - 2008-09-17

This video almost lost a star because of the audio, but then the ref waved his finger at the other fighter.

bopeton - 2008-09-17

I just voted for this man for president.

dr_rock - 2008-09-17

Awesome. Also, why is there a Steve Bruno tag when the video says James Bruno?

Dr Dim - 2008-09-17

Because I fucked up.

Camonk - 2008-09-18

That guy got his ass kicked. Did you guys see that? When the guy got his ass kicked? It was awesome.
