That's kind of hot.

Binro the Heretic - 2008-09-17

Cantor spent 50 seconds, nearly a full minute, gushing out a non-answer to a simple yes or no question. Why do people keep voting for these assholes?

takewithfood - 2008-09-17

Why do they keep asking them for interviews when they don't answer simple questions?

I'd like to see a news channel where very interviewees are automatically tazed if they fail to answer a yes or no question with either a yes or a no in some portion of their answer.

Secret Messiah - 2008-09-17

I'd like to see a show that, once in a while, brings a person like this on, asks them one question, lets them say their bullshit, and then ask them the same question verbatim for up to an hour. Over and over until this bullshit is clear to everyone in America.

simon666 - 2008-09-18

i have a better idea, we have an asshole like this on, ask them a question, then when they don't answer, just kick them off the show.

also, i love chris mathews' "okay, okay, okay, okay."

fatatty - 2008-09-18

These people are sent on these shows to sell particular talking points that will hopefully stick in the viewers' minds. They have no incentive to go off message. If these people were honest they wouldn't have a job.

If you want honesty they need to interview independent analysts, not campaign reps. You know what the rep is going to say so I don't know why they bother bringing them on, other then to call them on their bullshit and watch them squirm. Which is highly entertaining, so I guess that's the point.

takewithfood - 2008-09-17

So I guess we know where Chris Matthews was investing his money..

HarrietTubmanPI - 2008-09-17

I saw this tonight. I couldn't believe the amounts of BS being put across my screen.

However I'm pretty sure my parents, who are staunch conservatives, if they saw that, would side with Cator - even though he didn't say anything at all.

Some people just don't like to call bullshit on the people they elected to 'save them' from the evil 'demycrats'.

Chalkdust - 2008-09-17

Yay, I was hoping this would show up quickly. That was a sound reaming.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-09-17

So is this the guy Colbert bases his shtick on?

Pacobird - 2008-09-17

I remember reading that totally hilarious bio of Matthews in the NYT, which talked about how he was kind of a joke and totally idolized Tim Russert. I like to think of all this as trying to live up to his memory.

Cheese - 2008-09-18

Well, he earned his grape today, for sure.

phalsebob - 2008-09-17

"Take responsibility..."

Jesus Mattews? What fucking century are you living in? May I fetch your horseless carriage, sir?

Camonk - 2008-09-18

Well, since he's talking to the self-proclaimed party of personal responsibility, I think he's got a right to ask.

Brautwurst_Barbarian - 2008-09-18

WHY ARE YOU SO FUCKING PUNCHABLE?

WHY ARE ALL OF YOU SO FUCKING PUNCHABLE?

WHY DO YOU ALL SOUND LIKE CLOSETED SELF-HATING QUEERS?

Dib - 2008-09-18

MOTHER FUCKER DO YOU LIKE THE JOB THE PRESIDENT IS DOING?

You defective, broken, shit wrapped in human skin.

Cheese - 2008-09-18

Welcome to Hardball, bitches.

Helzet - 2008-09-18

Is there some rule that you have to talk in that high-volume monotone when you (don't) answer questions shows like this?

CHRIS, IF I MAY JUST ADD THAT-

JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION, GAUNT MOTHERFUCKER.

Helzet - 2008-09-18

*on shows like this

Xenocide - 2008-09-18

IT IS JOHN MCCAIN AND BARACK OBAMA WHO ARE ON THE BALLOT.

THEREFORE NOTHING THAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE LAST EIGHT YEARS MATTERS.

NOTHING.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-20

Vote for McCain based on his experience.

But please, don't pay attention to what that experience is.

zatojones - 2008-09-18

get ready for more bullshit like this at the debates. especially with Palin

chumbucket - 2008-09-18

fatatty - 2008-09-18

"It's time we stop all this finger pointing! Now look at Barack Obama, he said..."

Fecund - 2008-09-18

Say you had nothing to do with this.
