This series was just like all other Star Trek series. There's the good eps and the bad ones.
Also, I've always been kinda confused by Chakotay... the writers made him like a mix of Native American, Aztec, and Mexican...basically he was the dumping ground for any vaguely tribal ethnicities.
To be honest, while top-tier STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION or even top-tier STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE outclasses top-tier STAR TREK: VOYAGER, I somehow prefer the average filler episodes of VOYAGER to either TNG or DS9, at least after Seven of Nine joins the crew, if just for the relatively recent production values, Also, some of the 2-hour sweeps month event episodes of VOYAGER like "Year of Hell" were pretty solid, even if they don't quite compare to "Best of Both Worlds".
