CHECK OUT THIS ACTION FIGURE.

Godard's Drinking Problem - 2008-10-15

I've always loved how flat out terrible he is at all these games.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-10-15

Yeah, it's kind of hard to focus on his obsessive review when his horrible playing is so distracting.

Xenocide - 2008-10-15

I love how he can't even fathom the idea that Disney didn't WANT to make the next Donkey Kong Country and perhaps just wanted to crank out a quick-and-dirty movie tie-in game.

chumbucket - 2008-10-15

I'm having edging problems trying to watch this entire review (of nothing to do with the game, just how they made it...wut?) oh and "doom is an extremely difficult game" OMG

Sputum - 2008-10-15

To be fair, Doom on the SNES didn't let you save, and you had to play on the hardest difficulty if you wanted to skip to a different episode. If you died, you'd start at the beginning of the level with just the pistol.
In other words you had to beat the game in one sitting, pretty much without dying.
All this plus the shitty frame-rate definitely made Doom a hard game.

^ for more on Mr. Wood's feelings about Doom

sosage - 2008-10-15

You may think Toy Story is difficult and indeed it is very hard what was Disney thinking but dont threat because there is a cheat if you bounce on the ball and jump onto the drawer and then duck like you would in Street Fighter which is another hard game but has no movie tie in what was Capcom thinking then jump up on the army man bin and press start select to choose your stage select unlike Donkey Kong Country with such an easy way to go through all the levels of Toy Story what was Disney thinking we bought a 50 dollar game that we dont want to just fly through unlike Doom which contains no SLI based graphics...*pass out from lack of oxygen*

kingarthur - 2008-10-15

You forgot Pocahontas.

StanleyPain - 2008-10-15

THE MOVIE TOY STORY WAS A THEATRICAL FILM AND RELEASED INTO THEATERS. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS GAME IS ALSO INTENDED TO BE A MOVIE AND RELEASED IN THEATERS BUT I WOULD EXPECT NOT. I WILL HAVE TO DO MORE RESEARCH ON THIS AND GET BACK TO YOU ON IT.

Chizmurder - 2008-10-15

Who would spend on a game they thought they could BEAT?!

fluffy - 2008-10-15

ADHD was also big in the Clinton era.

Keefu - 2008-10-15

I just want to make sure: is this guy actually reading reviews of games from the 90s or REVIEWING games from the 90s?

kthorjensen - 2008-10-15

Videos were made in the 90s, with the new intro added on.

fluffy - 2008-10-17

Supposedly.

RomancingTrain - 2008-10-15

I really have no idea if this is parody. On onr hand he talks like the N64 isn't out yet and they didn't have internet parodies in 1996. On the other hand, he'd be just such a pitch-perfect parody of a an asperger's case.

charmlessman - 2008-10-15

Disney says they used Silicon Graphics Computers when making Toy Story the Game, but did they really use Silicon Graphics Computers? Donkey Kong Country used Silicon Graphics Computers, and it looks great, because of the Silicon Graphics Computers. Toy story SAYS they used Silicon Graphics Computers, but Silicon Graphics Computers wouldn't produce such edgy graphics, because Silicon Graphics Computers are the greatest thing ever invented. Silicon Graphics Computers Silicon Graphics Computers Silicon Graphics Computers.

SILICON GRAPHICS COMPUTERS!!!

DMKA - 2008-10-15

Five stars for the most annoying monotone review voice ever.

Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2008-10-15

Clearly what this game needed was more stencil buffers.

dancingshadow - 2008-10-15

Tighten up the graphics on level 3. The SILICON Graphics !

Xiphias - 2008-10-15

this makes my brain hurt really bad

Charming - 2008-10-15

He basically said: THE GAME ISN'T WORTH PLAYING, BUT YOU SHOULD PLAY IT, EXCEPT YOU SHOULDN'T BOTHER.

Having played it, I concur that it was quite hard. Especially for the demographic for which it was intended.
As being formerly of that demographic when the game was released.. I can safely say I never noticed any edging on poor ol' Woody. Catching the rope was impossible.

jangbones - 2008-10-16

"How much would my head weigh if it were made of meat?"

Quad9Damage - 2008-10-18

The graphics are OK, but they're not like Donkey Kong Country's graphics. Seriously, Disney has a lot of money, why didn't they make another Donkey Kong Country? Donkey Kong Country was a great game. Silcon Graphics. Donkey Kong Country.

("Ow!" "Ow!" "Ow!" "Ow!" "Ow!" "Ow!" "Ow!' "Ow!" "Ow!" "Ow!" "Ow!")

Kibblesmith - 2008-10-20

Let the mating dance of "HOW" and "WHY" begin.

Maru - 2010-10-13

"Bottom line when all is said and done Toy Story has better "gameplay" than either of the Donkey Kong Country games."

WTF.
