Mickey Mouse isn't going to cast a vote for Obama, but when Mike the Democrat goes to cast his vote and cannot because some douchebag tore up his registration, that's a little different.
This stuff has always been going on, the point is trying to link it directly to the candidate, as if Barack Obama or John McCain were plotting the destruction of voter registrations, is ridiculous. It shouldn't be in their rhetoric. Fortunately Obama won't have to address it unless somehow magically his polls drop ten points or something.
Except that Young Political Majors (Mark Jacoby) was paid for doing this by Steve Poizner, the McCain Campaign's California State Co-Chair, and Lincoln Strategy Group (Nathan Sproul) was paid for doing this by the McCain campaign. Jacoby is based in Arizona, and Sproul is the former head of the Arizona Republican Party.
I agree that this isn't something Obama needs to bring up, but there's obviously quite a more direct connection with McCain here than the sad attempts to link Obama to ACORN.
