So, is this actually the point where they pull away the joke prize and reveal we've actually won the new Buick?

Camonk - 2008-10-26

I'll settle for a new president.

Random - 2008-10-26

What a dumb ho.

futurebot - 2008-10-26

This woman is so intent on stringing slogans together that she can't even be bothered to inflect them into grammatical sentences.

Helena Handbasket - 2008-10-26

gah.
I.. I... government taking care of its people? Sharing wealth? Erosion of work ethic??? They do this in country's where people are not "free"?????????????
There is so much in this one minute.

Helena Handbasket - 2008-10-26

Meant to be "countries" not "country's". Her inability to form coherent sentences is effecting my own mental faculties.

baleen - 2008-10-26

I like how Sweden is considered a bad word among Republicans, even though 60% of Swedes own more than one house and 40% of them own boats, they are suffering under a Socialist dictatorship, or something.

Helena Handbasket - 2008-10-26

I've always wondered why Sweden in particular is singled out as an example of the terrurs of socialism. Are the conservatives afraid of viking raids or something?

Randroid - 2008-10-26

A socialized market economy is, of course, irritating to people who have spent their lives regurgitating that the laissez-faire-invisible-hand-sorts-everything-doctrine is the sole answer to everything from diarrhoea to individual happiness.

Of course, what most of these average dumbshits don't realize is that a week of actual "free market" would eat their ass.

Spoonybard - 2008-10-27

Two of these stars are for "effecting my own mental faculties"

Helena Handbasket - 2008-10-27

'xactly. Soon I will start confusing "there" with "they're" and "their", and than my ability to pronounce nucular will go, its all downhill. Whose to say where the madness will end? Sentances will lose flow, and I will no longer have my principals to stand on.

godot - 2008-10-26

Arise ye workers from your slumbers
Arise ye prisoners of want
For reason in revolt now thunders
And at last ends the age of cant.
Away with all your superstitions
Servile masses arise, arise
We'll change henceforth the old tradition
And spurn the dust to win the prize.

So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
The Internationale unites the human race.

Its pretty catchy, too.

baleen - 2008-10-26

Dear God I hope the GOP runs this woman for president every single four years forever.

buttnutt - 2008-10-26

I wouldn't be shocked if a few years down the road she made a Nixon style comeback (provided they lose). Remember, this broad had a lot of appeal and put McCain ahead in the polls before everyone found out she was total fucking moron. If she had an education she would be an extremely viable candidate.

simon666 - 2008-10-26

Guys, there was an article I just read that dealt with how Palin and her advisers are basically running their own show, making it difficult for McCains group. She was reported as being a diva, who is really positioning herself to run in 2012.

http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5igWA77jTUWXP5cqP7Xy1MDq8I1 ZQ

baleen - 2008-10-26

Yes, I read that as well. She's really lining herself up for a run later on, and barring that, a way out of Alaska, where she can be a party leader in some faculty or other. If Palin and Bush is the kind of party leader Republicans want these days, more power to them. We (meaning swing voters) won't get fooled again.

jangbones - 2008-10-26

I am completely convinced that a significant portion of America's population will indeed push for Palin to run for president in 2012.

However, I also believe that the other side of the GOP, you know, the ones with educations and money and influence, will spend the next four years making sure she goes away and doesn't ruin their party any more.

Camonk - 2008-10-26

Her approval ratings are horribly low, though. Yes, she's popular with the Republican base, but not really with anyone else.

Meerkat - 2008-10-26

I, I don't understand what she's saying. It's like McCain Mad-Libs with a random number generator.

Bored - 2008-10-26

Wait, Obama is going to turn America into a Communist nation and we'll be like Sweden?

Time to vote like 6 times for Obama.

nuzzles - 2008-10-26

I always really like how, when referring to Palin in particular, they mention her "handlers". Like she's a mongoose at the zoo or something.

kiint - 2008-10-27

close!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-10-27

I think of her more like Koko the gorilla, only she knows less words.

The Townleybomb - 2008-10-26

This from a woman who runs a state that's basically funded entirely by the state-owned oil industry and handouts from the federal government. Somebody in the McCain campaign must have a hell of a sense of irony.

Lauritz Melchior - 2008-10-26

Goddamned bitch.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-10-26

The dumb leading the dumber.

CornOnTheCabre - 2008-10-27

I think youre forgetting how she BROUGHT THE ICE RINK TO WASILLA, YOU SOCIALIST SCUM.

maybe if you believed in real results as opposed to the elitism of being able to convey an idea, youd be a REAL american.

Testicles of Doom - 2008-10-27

Does any place in Alaska, let alone one right on top of a fucking lake, really NEED an ice rink?

IrishWhiskey - 2008-10-26

If Palin ever gets close to the Presidency, she'll be assassinated. By Hillary Clinton.

Clinton could get over being beaten to the office by Obama, but not by a dolled-up half-wit with less understanding of the world than Hillary has in her little pinky.

takewithfood - 2008-10-26

Can anyone make out what's shouted by someone in the crowd at 0:39?

Random - 2008-10-27

To me, and everyone in the Youtube comments, it sounds like somebody calling Obama a nigger.

Going by Palin's hilarious reaction afterward it seems to make the most sense.

zatojones - 2008-10-27

I am proud to be a fake American

chumbucket - 2008-10-27

now why is it not obvious to everyone that the republican party has clearly jumped the shark?

kiint - 2008-10-28

jumped the shark, beat it up, took its wallet and left it in a puddle of its own blood and urine

how often do I get to use a comment like that twice
