Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2008-11-04
Tighten the frame. I did a similar thing in film school only I based it off a much less publicized murder and had the excuse of 30 minutes of prep to back me up. Let's just say I'm glad the thing will never see the light of day.
But now then, this just hits every single bad student film cliche - bad cinematography, inconsistent audio masquerading as "verite" but the dialogue is too stylized and camera too static to convey the proper motivation. Pointless black-and-white, 'atmospheric' cutaway shots and too much showing and not enough telling.
However, psuedo-Anthony Perkins hits the right notes at the end and the ending credits ain't bad.
