I suspect the reason why twice as many women get raped in Alaska is because they have an extremely high Native American population. 19% according to the 2000 census (if I am reading it right). Native American women are at least twice as likely to be raped. Amnesty International did a report on this a few years ago.
That's a good end "examine Sarah Palin's record." All democratic ads should end like that. It's not preachy, and anyone who actually does a little research will probably either not vote R or was never going to vote D regardless of what was on the ad.
In four years, when the horrible prophecy is fulfilled and Palin runs for the Republican nomination, someone needs to dust off this ad and put it on every TV on Earth.
Palin ain't runnin' for nothing. Don't think for a second that the hicks who don't want a "n*#$Sr runnin' their country want a woman as leader either. Second in command, maybe, but not as leader, no matter how right-wing christian nut-jobby she is.
No, if you're a Dem you should be on your knees praying for Palin to run. Can you imagine the galvanized Democrats? Not to mention the national joke she's become. She'd do then exactly what she's doing to their party-split it between the crazies and the people who you disagree with over a beer.
It's pretty great watching the female sex rise up against this winking dingbat, since, you know, the Republican party intended for everything with two X chromosomes to throw in their vote for Palin just because she has lady parts.
I would be honestly interested in watching Palin sit down and look at this ad all the way through. I wonder if she'd be able to get through it without turning away in disgust, or with her smug little smile. I wonder if there would even be a moment of uncomfortable wincing before her internal "I'm always right"-o-meter regulated itself and she shrugged this off because she's such a maverick.
