the height of douchery

Sean Robinson - 2008-11-14

How regally the King of Douches smiles as he rocks out behind his royal keyboard and watches, with a kind, understanding and confident gaze, as two of his Douche Dukes duke it out in a Douche-out contest.

BOOM BICKA DA DA DUH DOOP DEE DAH BOO DOO DUBBA DOO DOO DEE DA DOOP DOO WAH DOODAH!

That answering machine song was pure gold.

imairlax - 2008-11-14

i was on the fence about whether this was "poe-enough" to submit, the answer machine put it over the top...and the fiddle/guitar duel

baleen - 2008-11-14

Is there an article of clothing that screams douche any louder than that vest? Bonus Douchebeard.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-11-14

"Poe-enough"?

Sir, this is a video with a deep spiritual root to our past, stain upon our culture, humor in the elevation of the profane to the sacred, and filed with real awesomeness. It is in its essence, 'Poe'.

Senator_Unger - 2008-11-14

That is the greatest celebration of whiteness I've ever seen since I saw Kansas perform live!

imairlax - 2008-11-14

maybe that green jacket the fiddler is wearing complete with golden military shoulder tassels?

Lauritz Melchior - 2008-11-14

Why are there violinists in livery with 80s rocker hair?

Why?!

dueserpenti - 2008-11-14

Attention non-white people: This man does not represent us.

baleen - 2008-11-14

speak for yourself.
brb chardonnay.

TeenerTot - 2008-11-14

I love you baleen.

Dinky Patterson - 2008-11-14

Didya catch me dribbling to the beat at the beginning? Didya? I was pretending to dribble a basketball--to the beat. Because in basketball you dribble a ball. With your hand. And this is a basketball theme.

God, I'm good.

TeenerTot - 2008-11-14

I think he was travelling that beat.

KnowFuture - 2008-11-14

...like he does to pretty much everything.

Banal Intercourse - 2008-11-14

Five stars for the violin player who's wearing the outfit he auditioned for AMADEUS in. The one part of the music where there is fast, technically challenging violin is the one part where he takes a break and lets the professionals in the chairs do the work.

glendower - 2008-11-14

Missing a keytar but still amazing. After hard study and practice at prestigious music schools, these kids get to play for John Tesh.

potvin - 2008-11-14

I was thinking about this clip today in the gym. It's as if it were posted just for me. What reminded me of it was that I turned on the radio and heard the beginning of that other NBA song that they use to introduce the teams. I thought that a Suns game was starting but it turns out it was just the easy listening station and the full version of whatever that song is called. In my mind that instantly conjured up the indelible dorky image of John Tesh dribbling the imaginary ball.

Quality PBS programming.

charmlessman - 2008-11-14

I am completely unfamiliar with John Tesh's musical career (by stern choice) and I don't watch basketball... and yet I knew this music.

Fuck.

imairlax - 2008-11-14

my friend, you've been TESHED

stinky613 - 2009-02-19

No matter how hard I scrub, I still feel dirty.

Does anyone else wonder what it was like sitting in the meeting where Suit A queried, "Who should we get to compose music for the NBA" and Suit B replied, "Why, John Tesh, of course!"?
