Indeed it is.

This documentary is great solely for the purpose of seeing how fucking batshit insane Downey Jr. was at this point in his life.

I found it really hard to watch for that reason. The only thing that sort of redeems his weird-ass behavior is that young white people in the early 90s were really quirked out and awkward in general. In film, it was Pauly Shore and Frank Whaley; in music, Linda Perry and Adam Duritz; on TV, Julia Sweeney and Jim Carrey. It was a bad period for white people and I thank Kurt for redeeming us through the power of his blood.

Oh my God, you're absolutely right

Looking at RDJ now and then, age really suits him. And not being a fucking loon.

I think his insanity is what makes him a good actor, though.

Either that or sheer coincidence.

My hope is that I am Robert Downey Jr, and more importantly that I will be Robert Downey Jr.

Camonk - 2008-11-16

Was he insane or just an annoying asshole?

Dib - 2008-11-16

Neither, it was drugs. Lots and lots of drugs. Or maybe that translates into a little of both.

Andonyx - 2008-11-16

Wait....so...let me get this straight....

In a Jekyll / Hyde / kind of thing, Robert Downey Jr. Takes drugs and turns into Chris Kattan?
