He went on to beat his friend to death with a hammer and torch the house.
To add to the boxing degrees of separation, the guy he killed was the brother of boxing analyst Max Kellerman.
Also, his nickname was "The Harlem Hammer". Which is sort of fortunate, really, since he could have been called "The Harlem Dumping a Bucket of Acid on a Guy" or something.
I see we're all familiar with Wikipedia.
At least they were still friends
