So now venice can have pedestrian canal lanes.

SCIENCE!!

I saw a video somewhere else for this thing. 1) It takes practice, so most people just sink. 2) If you stop, you sink. 3) YOU SINK.

I'm reserving the extra star until a Police Academy film makes use of a fleet of this things.

I was wondering if stop=sink to death. I declare this invention neat, but goofy, much like the nerd (I assume) who invented it.

This point is more how ridiculous it is to operate. Also note how there is a cut just before they slam into the dock every time.

It's a hydrofoil. SO basically an airplane in the water. The flow over the "wing" is what keeps it up.

Turn off sound before viewing.

Buoyancy? Who needs it!

The dude in red trunks doing WaterBird tricks pushed this one up into five-start territory.

Ghost ride the waterbird!

I live around the San Joaquin Delta; I'd take a hit to the disposable income to try one of these next summer.

They talked about this on DailyPlanet on Discovery channel. Apparently, it takes only a couple of tries to get the hang of it. In all fairness, that's less than it probably took you for learning to use a bicycle.

Also, the device actually floats so while it will go mostly subsurface, it wont actually sink down.

I can't imagine lasting too long on this. It looks like quite a workout.

Forgot: -2 for the annoying song.
