It's based on a great comic, with amazing art. Amazing art that wasn't pseudo anime, but more like old Flash Gordon.

It was writen and drawn by Mark Schultz called Xenozoic Tales.

Of course, the trade paperback collections of Xenozoic Tales from Dark Horse can be kind of hard to find, depending on the situation. I've been wanting to replace the copy of Volume 2 that was lost to me in an unfortunate incident but I go online and what do I see, online retailers offering like-new copies for - a pop. That's a bit much for me, for a single book that isn't say, ultra-rare.
