at 2:35ish Kirk looks positively disgusted by the insinuation that he would have a gay friend

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-12-23

I like the fact that the movie he's in is called "Fireproof". As if he could not wait to tell us he'll never be flaming.

citrusmirakel - 2008-12-23

"You're also in show business."

No, Bill. Kirk was in a sitcom once, about two decades ago. To say that being in a few Jack Van Impe movies shot on camcorder about how the apocalypse is coming entails "being in show business", then that also includes people who made a movie as part of their 8th grade social studies class project on The Founding Fathers, and AC/DC cover bands.

kamlem - 2008-12-23

Good to see he disagrees with the current arrangement of marriage laws (divorces easily obtained) and in the next breath says that the institution of marriage has never changed and should exclude gay couples...

Take a long walk on a short pier, fuckface!

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-12-23

Washed up D-Grade actor that becomes born-again in a hamfisted attempt to revive their career. They're douchy by nature, but Cameron really sets a standard for it.

OxygenThief - 2008-12-23

Actually, Cameron became a born-again on the set of Growing Pains when he was 17, effectively ending his career when he became known for refusing to do "objectionable" scenes.

He's still a douche, but for different reasons.

And where the hell is Ray Comfort? It's rare that you see Cameron nowadays without that oversimplifying dickhead.

phalsebob - 2008-12-23

The new GAWD-MEME is 'marriage has always been the same'. I never hear a source given, so I assume it's just something that everyone knows to be true.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-12-23

Marriage has always included slavery, dowries, and multiple wives. Where have you been?

mountain dew insimination - 2008-12-23

Heck yeah, and child brides! I've collected six so far

TomVolkskrieger - 2008-12-23

I've almost got my 6th, I just need a few more "hit points"...

kingarthur - 2008-12-23

Evolvo, I choose you! (A small monster in the form of a banana with wisdom teeth, adnoids, and an appendix appears).

Dib - 2008-12-23

Celebrity deathmatch: Kirk Cameron vs. Neil Patrick Harris.

mon666ster - 2008-12-23

Fuck you Mike Seaver. You used to be cool.

Spastic Avenger - 2008-12-23

As a very non-violent person, I am surprised at how much I want to re-live my council estate childhood and beat this guy with a golf club.

Spastic Avenger - 2008-12-23

which would clearly not solve anything.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-12-23

I don't know. It would solve the problem that no one is currently beating the crap out of this guy.

Also, anyone who missed it should check out the trailer for his movie:

Toenails - 2008-12-23

Woah, five stars for Spastic Avenger... and a few questions.

1. What the hell is a "council estate"?

2. Why were you beating people with a golf club?

3. Where can I sign up for this?

paranex - 2008-12-23

Council estates are (were?) public housing in England

Shotgun Jackson - 2008-12-23

The fact that he thinks that was a riot says a lot about K.C. Ha!
I think the gays should have their next pride parade on a Sunday in front of the biggest mega church in the country

Enjoy - 2008-12-23

Needs a Barack Obama tag. He's against gay marriage too.

paranex - 2008-12-23

He's for civil unions

Stopheles - 2008-12-23

He's for civil unions with full rights attached, Enjoy.

I would also assume that he's much less of a supporter of, say, sodomy laws than is Cameron.

StanleyPain - 2008-12-23

There's "against gay marriage" and then there's "in favor of revoking gays' civil rights, trying to recriminalize homosexuality, and purposefully making gays into targets for bigots"

Cleaner82 - 2008-12-23

Really? Maybe you should mention that on PoE News about fifty million times.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-12-23

How about a beating a dead horse tag?

Quad9Damage - 2008-12-23

What about other cultures around the world that don't worship the Christian God? Do their marriages not count?

Bonus star for an O'Reilly clip where he isn't the biggest douche on screen.

chumbucket - 2008-12-23

more babble from what was once called the "moral majority". Yeah, I remember that existing back in early Salem, MA too.

libby1217 - 2008-12-27

it's great to see Cameron grew up to be a normal guy-unlike other childhood stars
