I keep thinking this movie came out way before Pulp Fiction. Still, it reinforced my crush on Frank Whaley.

Between pleading for his life, getting shot full of holes, and getting crapped on by Kevin Spacey, Frank Whaley is the total package! Oh, and he killed Jimmy Hoffa. I guess that's a plus.

One of the few independent films in the 90s that I really wanted to see.

Since I posted here by accident, let me add that Whaley looks like what I imagine David Lynch looked like before he encountered darkness.

Buddy Ackerman is one of the great unappreciated movie bastards.

I was working for Trimark Pictures when this came out -- best film they ever made, probably. That place was firmly committed to B- and C-movies.

I have packets of Equal and Sweet N Low printed with the movie logo from the office at the time. Some fun.

Except, what you see in this YouTube clip is pretty much everything that's worth watching in the movie. Spacey is great when he's chewing on the scenery, but the actual "plot" is horrifically dumb, and the fact that everything climaxes with a 20 million dollar fuck trade is just an idiot attempt at cynicism.

Still, nothing but five stars for You. Have. No. Brain.
