And fuck politics, whether intentionally offensive or not, I find this funny. Feel free to knock up some Shitfaced Caucasians if it makes somebody feel better.
I don't think it counts as French arrogance when the baker in question is an American of Greek descent. I think the name is just because he's trained in French pastry.
Also, five stars for the ambivalence this causes in me. I'm torn between feelings of "Oh my God that's horrible," and "Those cookies look delicious."
If I lived in New York, I'd go down there, look the guy in the face and order one of those because they look DELICIOUS. Then when I'd gotten my cookie, I'd say YOU'RE A RACIST!!! and then run out. And then I'd eat my cookie. I'd probably go back and buy another the next day and apologize for calling him a racist.
You're in a high rent district (I'm assuming, Greenwich after all) and you've run a thriving business and get some great blurbs to boot. I almost pity someone that self-destuctive. But then again, most nutters I know are really racist. I think if this got confrontational he might cut sombody.
1: Those cookies look really good.
2: I love how they eventually had to go actively look for black people to ask about it.
3: Three dollars and fifty cents for a fucking cookie? NOW THAT'S OFFENSIVE AMIRITE LAWLS?!??!?!?!?!?!
