Alex Jones isn't the only one who wishes he was the Question - dude wears a trenchcoat and fedora, is clearly plowing the fuck out of Exposed Midriff Girl despite ignoring her to dick around on the computer, and he's always right about meaningless shit on the internet that is ACTUALLY REALLY IMPORTANT, OKAY?

He's basically the wet dream of every Wikipedia user. All that being said, he makes me laugh.

zatojones - 2009-01-29

You realize that The Question is Steve Ditko's Objectivist wet dream right?

Hooper_X - 2009-01-29

Sure, in the original comics. The cartoon version is what I just said, though.

(as far as ridiculous Objectivist Wet Dream goes, Ditko's "Mr. A" is even more over the top - it's all a guy in a white suit refusing to save criminals because they condemned themselves to die the moment they decided to do a crime, amorphous blobs representing negative emotions menacing girls in mini-skirts, etc.)

kingarthur - 2009-01-29

Yeah, The Question was changed in the 80s by Denny O'Neil into the force of nature that everybody knows and loves now. He's into zen now, not Objectivism. Of course, they killed him and replaced him with someone else who is soooooooo not as fun.

But the best thing about The Question? He's Jeffrey Combs.

Camonk - 2009-01-29

I thought he was more like Batman without the budget.

Corman's Inferno - 2009-01-30

Oddly enough, the Question was replaced by Rene Montoya, a character who first appeared in the Timm/Dini Batman cartoon.

Doctor Frederick Odd - 2009-01-30

Oh, Rene Montoya had a good run in the GCPD title which followed the Gotham City detectives in charge of investigating the less popular murders going on in that city.

Things just went downhill when she started dating Batwoman.

Also, this video is missing parademon VS car fights.

Camonk - 2010-01-16

PS Exposed Midriff Girl is Huntress.

Aoi - 2009-01-29

Needs a Jeffrey Coombs tag.

3 stars for The Question, 3 stars for Coombs, -1 star for not including the scene where he shows up in Lex Luthor's office and calmly explains why he has to assassinate him for the good of the world, using his necktie.

Hooper_X - 2009-01-29

Personally, I wanted to dock a point for not including the part where he runs over a bunch of Darkseid's goons in his car. Everyone else is flying around and punching and shooting fire, and Question just rams the fuckers with a Dodge.

Comeuppance - 2009-01-29

End of the world, conspiracies, flat face mask, trenchcoat, fedora, distant personality...

...Rorschach.

Also, where she puts the data is solid gold. I feel silly for thinking this show was going to be lame.

Comeuppance - 2009-01-29

Oh, also, orange hair, ugly face, often speaks disjointedly.

Hooper_X - 2009-01-29

You missed the part where Rorschach was basically lifted whole-cloth from The Question, didn't you? (Mind you, the version they did for JLU was kind of reverse-inspired by Rorschach as far as his disjointed speech pattern goes, but yeah.)

Desidiosus - 2009-01-29

Orange socks too, evidently.

Comeuppance - 2009-01-29

I never said anything about one copying the other - I was just noticing.

Regardless, I will bow in reverence of your neckbeard.

ProfessorChaos - 2009-01-29

Tell me what you know!

La Loco - 2009-01-29

He...talks like.......Captian Kirk.

Cleaner82 - 2009-01-29

The DC universe's internet must be a terrifying place.

AHA! Thirty-TWO flavors!

IrishWhiskey - 2009-01-29

"What do you think of that corporate pre-packaged pop kids like these days?"

Dammit, that was entertaining enough to make me want to watch the show.

Myrmidon - 2009-01-29

Orange socks.

America's Second-Favorite Objectivist Superhero

joffe b - 2009-01-29

there's a lot to dislike about Dini and company's increasingly creepy fetish-fest of the DCAU, but the The Question is definitely not one of those things. I would watch the hell out of a Question series, even though it would never last a full season.

Badassimo - 2009-01-30

Did the Question have any powers other than command of Awesome?

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-01-30

Yeah, orange socks.

Simian Pride - 2009-01-31

Oh crap, I have to watch JLU now.

Tuan Jim - 2009-02-10

Fucking wow, was every show as awesome as this.

I could watch a movie of this. Hell, a movie of disjointed scenes of this character.
