-4 for no goose.

Frank Rizzo - 2009-01-30

A fucking explosion is used instead. So in your book, Geese are cooler then explosions.

fuck you

Hooker - 2009-01-30

You've been in my book?

halon - 2009-01-30

balls riding up on your forehead

robotkarateman - 2009-01-30

I love you, Hooker.

And that's not the first time I've said that in my life.

Camonk - 2009-01-30

Thanks. I was gonna one-star this because SolRo was such a pompous douche about submitting this. But explosions mingled with science and engineering are simply too much for me.

No goose.

Doctor Arcane - 2009-01-30

So... can someone explain what the point of this test is? To make sure the engine housing doesn't rip apart? Seems like no engine we've seen so far can survive a blade failure and keep on running.

RockBolt - 2009-01-30

The engine has to contain the blades, instead of letting them fly off in all directions, potentially into the fuselage and passengers

mouser - 2009-01-30

PETA requires that the goose who asplode an engine doesn't cause the rest of the flock to die off flying engine parts but rather give them a chance to get to the OTHER engines.

At least, that's how we train our geese in Canada. That AND to shit on lawns of expensive businesses front yards.

At least one airline disaster *that I know of* was caused when an engine sent a fan blade through the tail severing the hydraulics and electrical systems. The FAA figured this out after reconstructing the engine and tail from debris they combed out of a burnt corn field, which tells you how THAT day ended.

Losing a fan blade into a plane is like firing a cannon into the plane.

glendower - 2009-01-30

I think I saw a small bird fly into the engine. This is a big cover up. Also, great "miracle of life music" played in the middle of this clip.

Cube - 2009-01-30

A motor explodes a bit when it loses a couple of blades?

Where do I sign?
