Reminds me of a sweet "Deco-Tel" phone I used to have. It came in a leather-padded box with a chrome rotary dial. The receiver was heavier than one from a payphone. It looked like something that would have been at home on Adam West's desk at stately Wayne Manor.

An IMPORTANT executive

It's the faux wood that makes it so handsome.

I understand that it is their thrift that made my childhood and education possible, but for Pete's sake, new equivalents cost like down at Wal-Mart.

Chinballs - 2009-02-06

New equivalents tend to lack the plasticy lacquered wood finish inherent in all 80's home appliances. Fake wood is the key man!

The Townleybomb - 2009-02-06

Yeah, and how many important executives shop at Wal-Mart? Not many, I bet.

But their assistants do, and your wife is basically your assistant.

I think we had one. They always look dirty, no matter how much you clean them.

Senator_Unger - 2009-02-07

We still have one that doesn't look *exactly* like that but it's very close; I always wondered where the hell it came from.

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2009-02-07

In an all white room, that would have style.

Unfortunately it's utterly obsolete.
